World Refugee Day in Moldova

Each year on 20th of June, we commemorate the World Refugee Day, remembering those who were torn apart from their families and who were forced to leave their homes and their country. On this occasion, UNHCR and its NGO partners, together with the Bureau for Migration and Asylum, made every possible effort to raise awareness about the growing number of refugees around the world. This unfortunate pattern is no exception for Moldova. Although a small country, it witnessed a record number of people coming to seek protection and peace for them, their families and children.
