An awareness-raising visit to a lyceum in Cimislia, R. of Moldova

On October 6, this year, teams from the Charity Center for Refugees (CCR), in collaboration with the Society for Refugees (SR), with strengthened support of UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), organized an awareness-raising visit to the Theoretical Lyceum “A. Puşkin” in Cimişlia. The purpose of the visit was to inform students and teachers on asylum practices and refugees situation in R. Moldova, especially because in this high school some of the children of the big refugee family from Kirgizstan continue their studies.

This is the Satybaldyev family consisting of 12 people – grandparents, children and grandchildren, all set to live in Cimişlia three months ago.

In the high school there was also inaugurated a photo exhibition and were exposed multiple works made by the refugee children during the Classes of painting and ceramics led by Valerie Belogruda.

In the inaugural speech Mrs.Alexandra Slănină, the high school principle said that such visits have been and remain beautiful surprises for students here and communicated that they are open for collaboration with NGOs and UNHCR.

Mr. Ulukbek Satybaldyev, the       head of the numerous family thanked all those people who helped them to integrate into the local society, school administration and particularly their new classmates for the warmth and understanding. “We feel good here in Cimislia and we hope that people living here will enjoy our stay here, because we are trying to do this every day through our behavior and deeds” – Satybaldyev said.

Surprisingly, both for the guests, and for the teachers, children demonstrated an interest in asylum field which was proved by their knowledge and especially by the questions addressed to the representatives of the NGOs and UNHCR.

In gratitude for the warm reception, Mr. Djavid Paknehad, President of CCR, gave 3 balls to the children – football, volleyball, basketball – and a chess set, coming with the proposal to hold in future sport competitions between the refugee children and high school students.

At the end of this truly memorable due to the activism of the students meeting, everybody served the food brought by the guests.

During the visit there presented speeches and answered the questions Mrs. Svetlana Jioară, UNHCR Program Associate, Mr. Djavid Paknehad, CCR President, and Mr. Dumitru Maxim, SR President, lecturer.

O vizită de sensibilizare la un liceu din Cimişlia, R. Moldova

       În data de 6 octombrie, curent, echipele de la Centrul de Caritate pentru Refugiaţi (CCR), în colaborare cu Societatea pentru Refugiaţi (SR), parteneri de implementare a proiectelorReprezentanţei Înaltului Comisariat al ONU pentru Refugiaţi (UNHCR), au organizat o vizită de informare la Liceul Teoretic „Puşkin” din Cimişlia. Scopul vizitei a fost informarea elevilor de aici şi a cadrelor didactice privind domeniul azilului şi situaţia refugiaţilor în R.Moldova, iar drept mobil al acestei întîlniri a fost faptul că la liceul din localitate îşi continuă studiile cîţiva copii din numeroasa familie refugiată în R.Moldova din Kîrgîstan.

       E vorba de familia Satybaldyev formată din 12 persoane – buncii, copiii lor şi nepoţii, toţi stabiliţi cu traiul în orăşelul Cimişlia de acum trei luni.

În Sala festivă a liceului, de asemenea a fost vernisată o expoziţie foto şi multiple lucrări efectuate de copiii refugiaţi în cadrul Cercului de creaţie de pictură şi ceramică condusă de pictorul Valerie Belogruda.

         În discursul inaugural dna Alexandra Slănină, Directorul Liceului, a menţionat că asemenea vizite au fost şi rămîn frumoase surprize pentru elevii de aici şi s-a arătat deschisă spre o colaborare de durată cu organizaţiile non-guvernamentale şi UNHCR.

         Dl Ulukbek Satybaldyev, capul familiei numeroase, a ţinut să mulţumească tuturor celora care îi sprijină în vederea integrării în societatea locală, administraţiei şcolii şi mai cu seamă noilor colegi ai copiilor lor, pentru căldură şi înţelegere. Ne simţim bine în Cimişlia şi sperăm ca locuitorii acestui orăşel să se bucure de venirea noastră, pentru că noi anume aceasta încercăm să facem zi de zi prin faptele, comportamentul şi dispoziţia noastră – a mai spus Satybaldyev.

        Surprinzător, atît pentru oaspeţi, cît şi pentru profesorii de aici, a fost activismul copiilor şi interesul pentru domeniul azilului demonstrat prin cunoştinţele lor şi, mai cu seamă, prin multiplele întrebări adresate reprezentanţilor organizaţiior non-guvernamentale.

         În semn de mulţumire pentru primirea călduroasă, dl Djavid Paknehad,Preşedintele CCR, le-a transmis copiilor trei mingi – fotbal, volei, baschet - şi un cumplet de şah, venind şi cu propunerea de a desfăşura în viitor competiţii sportive între copii refugiaţi şi elevii liceului.

         La finele întîlnirii, cu adevărat memorabile, şi asta datorită activismului liceeninor, toţi au servit din bucatele aduse de oaspeţi.

       În cadrul vizitei au fost prezentate discursuri şi au răspuns la întrebările elevilor dna Svetlana Jioară, asistent proiecte UNHCR şi Dumitru Maxim,Preşedintele SR, lector universitar.
