The Charity Centre for Refugees in Moldova brings smiles and moments of joy for children hospitalized at the Oncology hospital from Chisinau 

On the eve of winter holidays everyone, but especially children, are waiting for something beautiful, for a miracle and for Santa, who brings gifts for everybody. The most expected holidays are usually celebrated with the family, with the dearest people, in a warm and loving atmosphere. There are, unfortunately, children that are not able to enjoy this pleasant moments, as are, for example, the children hospitalized at the Oncology hospital from Chisinau, suffering from various malignant diseases. For this reason, CCR, together with the BMA, in particular with Mrs. Ecaterina Silvestru, the deputy director of BMA and Refugee Directorate Director, have decided to organize a charity action and to visite those children in order to offer them small gifts and at least a few hours of entertainment.

Thus, in the morning of December 22nd 2012, CCR and BMA representativesas well as CCR volunteers, armed with drawing albums, pens, balloons, puzzles and chess games, went to the oncology children. For the beginning, both the children and their accompanying mothers, were looking suspicious at us and did not seem to be too excited about our visit. After we met each other and divided the activities in dependence of the age and wishes of every child, on the faces of the little ones we could see slowly appearing the interest and the worries that bothered them began to disappear, at least for the moment.

Some of them, guided by the CCR art teacher, began to paint winter themed drawings, others, in small groups, assembled different puzzle, somebody, in pairs, were playing chess while at the other end of the table, our European volunteers and local intern, were showing a master class for balloon modeling. In the process were actively involved the mothers who also were pleased to participate in various activities.

At the end of the visit, CCR handed to every child a gift so that everyone got either an album with markers or a T-shirt with UNHCR logo, or a set of puzzles or chess, or other small gifts. CCR also came with some fruits, pies and water, products that children with such diseases can eat, which were given to mothers who later served their children.

Both mothers, as well as the head of the visited section, expressed their gratitude for this charity action, but the most pleasant for us all, and a greater satisfaction was to see, at the end, smiles on the faces of children who spent us friendly and promised that they will spend the future New Year at home, with their families.

În ajunul sărbătorilor de iarnă, toată lumea, dar în special copiii, sunt în aşteptarea a ceva frumos, a unei minuni şi a Moşului care aduce daruri pentru mari şi mici. Sărbătorile multaşteptate sunt, de obicei, sărbătorite în sînul familiei, cu cei mai dragi, într-o atmosferă caldă şi plină de dragoste. Există însă, cu părere de rău, copii care  nu au posibilitatea să se bucure de aceste momente plăcute, cum ar fi, de exemplu, copiii internaţi la Spitalul Oncologic din Chişinău, care suferă de diverse patologii maligne. Din acest motiv, CCR, împreună cu BMA, au hotărît să facă un act de bineface efectuînd o vizită la aceşti copii, cu scopul de a le oferi mici cadouri şi cel puţin cîteva ore de distracţii.

Astfel, în dimineaţa zilei de 22 Decembrie 2012, reprezentanţi ai CCR şi al BMA, înarmaţi cu albume pentru desen, carioci, baloane, puzzle şi jocuri de şah, au mers la copiii oncologici, care, pentru început, împreună cu mamele care ii însoţeau, ne priveau suspicioşi şi nu păreau a fi prea entuziasmaţi de vizita noastră. Însă, după ce am făcut cunoştinţă şi am divizat activităţile în dependenţă de vîrsta şi dorinţele fiecărui copil, pe feţele micuţilor a apărut interes şi încet încet grijile care îi deranjau începeau să dispară, cel puţin pentru moment.

Unii dintre ei, ghidaţi de profesorul de arte al CCR, au inceput să picteze desene cu tematica iernii, alţii, în mici grupuri, asamblau diferite puzzle, cîţiva, în perechi, jucau şah, în timp ce la alt capăt de masă, voluntarii noştri europeni şi stagiara locală, arătau un master class de modelaj din baloane lungi. În proces s-au implicat activ şi mamele copiilor, care la fel au primit plăcere de la diferitele activităţi.

La sfîrşitul vizitei, CCR a înmînat fiecărui copil cîte un cadou astfel încît fiecare s-a ales cu ceva, fie un album cu carioci, fie un maiou cu logoul UNHCR, fie un set de puzzle sau şah, sau alte mici cadouri. CCR a venit, la fel, cu nişte fructe, plăcinte şi apa, produse permise pentru copiii cu astfel de maladii, pe care le-a oferit mamelor ce le-au servit copiilor ulterior.

Atit mamele, cît şi şefa secţiei respective şi-a exprimat recunoştinţa pentru acest gen de binefacere, însă cel mai plăcut pentru noi toţi, şi o mai mare mulţumire, a fost să vedem, pînă la urmă, zîmbete pe feţele copiilor care ne-au petrecut prietenos şi ne-au promis că viitorul An Nou îl vor întîlni acasă, cu familia.

Накануне зимних праздников все люди, но особенно дети, в ожидание чего-то красивого, чудо и Санты который приносит подарки для взрослых и детей. Долгожданные праздники, как правило, отмечается в семье, с близкими людьми, в теплой и любящей обстановке. Существуют, к сожалению, дети которые не в состоянии наслаждаться этими приятными моментами, такие как, например, дети госпитализированные в онкологической больнице, страдающие различными злокачественных заболеваний. По этой причине, ЦМБ, вместе с Бюро по Миграции и Убежищу (БМУ), решили сделать благотворительную акцию навестив этих детей, с целью чтобы вручить им небольшие подарки и хотя бы несколько часов развлечений.

Таким образом, утром 22 декабря 2012 года, представители ЦМБ и БМУ, вооруженные с альбомами для рисования, маркерами, воздушными шарами, пазлами и шахматными играми, направились к больным детям. Для начала, как дети так и их сопровождающие матери смотрели на нас с недоверием и казались не слишком заинтересованные нашем визитом. Но после того, как мы познакомились, и разделили деятельности в зависимости от возраста и пожеланий каждого ребенка, на лицах малышей медленно появился интерес и заботы, которые беспокоили их начали исчезать, по крайней мерена время.

Некоторые из них, под руководством учителя искусства ЦМБ, начали рисовать зимние тематические рисунки, другие в небольших группах, собирали различные пазлы, некоторые  парами, играли в шахматы, а в другом конце стола, наши европейские волонтеры и местный стажер, показывали мастер-класс по моделированию воздушныч шаров. В процессе принимали активное участие матери, которые тоже получили удовольствие от различных видов деятельности.

В конце визита, ЦМБ вручил каждому ребенку по подарку, будь-то альбом с маркерами или футболка с логотипом УВКБ ООН или набор пазлов или шахматов, или другие небольшие подарки. Представители ЦМБ и БМУ пришли также  с фруктами, водой, и другими допустимыми продуктами для детей с такими болезнями, которые были вручены  матерям чтобы  те угостили попозже своих детей.

Как матери, так и заведующая отделения выразили ЦМБ и БМУ свое благодарность за такой благородный поступок, но самым приятным для всех нас, и большей благодарностью было увидеть, наконец, улыбки на лицах детей, которые провели нас дружелюбно, и пообещали, что следующий Новый Год они встретят дома с семьей.
